THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF GRAND FORKS
BYLAW NO. 2125
A BYLAW TO IMPOSE RATES ON ALL TAXABLE LAND
AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2026
The Council for the Corporation of the City of Grand Forks, in open meeting assembled,
enacts as follows:
1.
This bylaw may be cited, for all purposes, as the "2026 Annual Tax Rates Bylaw,
No. 2125".
2.
Bylaw No. 2115, cited as "2025 Annual Tax Rates Bylaw", is hereby repealed.
3.
The following Tax Rates are hereby imposed and levied for the Year Ended
December 31, 2026:
a)
For all lawful general purposes of the Municipality on the value of all taxable
land and improvements, rates appearing in Column "A" of Schedule "A"
attached hereto and forming a part of this bylaw;
b)
For West Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital purposes on the value of
all taxable land and improvements, rates appearing in Column "B" of
Schedule "A" attached hereto and forming a part of this bylaw;
c)
For purposes of the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary on the value
of all taxable land and improvements rates appearing in Column "C" of
Schedule "A", attached hereto and forming a part of this bylaw;
4.
The minimum amount of taxation upon a parcel of real property shall be One Dollar
($1.00).
Read a first, second and third time by the Municipal Council this 17th day of April, 2026.
Finally adopted on this 4th day of May, 2026.
