By-Law
to prohibit the keeping of Poultry
and
Bees within the
Boundaries
of
the Village of Granisle
WHEREAS under the
provisions
of Section
933 of the
"Municipal
Act",
R.S.B.C,
1979 the Council is given powers to prohibit the
keeping of certain species within the municipality:
AND
WHEREAS
it
is considered both desirable and
expedient
to
prohibit
the keeping of poultry and bees,
within the
municipal
boundaries:
NOW
THEREFORE
the Council of the Village of
Granisle
in
open
meeting assembled enacts as follows:
1.
In this by-law, unless the context otherwise
requires:
"Poultry" means poultry,
pigeons, doves and
except, canaries, cockatiel,
budgies,
parrot,
song birds, wild birds as authorized by
the
wildlife
branch.
2.
No person or
persons shall keep or
harbour
poultry and bees
within
the
boundaries of
the Village of Granisle.
3.
This By-Law may be
cited as the "Village of
Granisle
Poultry and Bees
By-Law
No.
203,
1988".
4.
By-Law No.
173 is hereby repealed.
