## MUNICIPAL LAND SALE - WEST KOOTENAY POWER BUILDING AND PROPERTY AUTHORIZATION BYLAW NO. 1036, 2025
## A BYLAW TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF MUNICIPAL LAND - WEST KOOTENAY POWER BUILDING AND PROPERTY
WHEREAS Section 26 of the Community Charter authorizes municipalities to dispose of land or improvements; The Council of the City of Greenwood deems it in the public interest to dispose of the property legally described as LOT 7 BLOCK 6 SECTION 32 TOWNSHIP 70 SIMILKAMEEN DIVISION YALE DISTRICT PLAN 24, LOT 6 BLOCK 6 SECTION 32 TOWNSHIP 70 SIMILKAMEEN DIVISION YALE DISTRICT PLAN 24, LOT 5 BLOCK 6 SECTION 32 TOWNSHIP 70 SIMILKAMEEN DIVISION YALE DISTRICT PLAN 24 EXCEPT PLAN H731.
## NOW THEREFORE
The Council of the City of Greenwood enacts as follows:
## 1. TITLE
- 1.1 This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as "Municipal Land Sale - West Kootenay Power Building and Property Authorization Bylaw No. 1036, 2025."
## 2. AUTHORIZATION TO SELL
- 2.1 Council hereby authorizes the sale of the following municipal property:
- : Civic Address: 675 Highway 3, Anaconda BC Legal Description: LOTS 5-7 BLOCK 6 SECTION 32 TOWNSHIP 70 SIMILKAMEEN DIVISION YALE DISTRICT PLAN 24 (EXCEPT PLAN H731 FOR LOT 5)
- Zoning: NA
## METHOD OF SALE
- 3.1 The property shall be sold by a third-party real estate agent, subject to Council approval.
## 4. PUBLIC NOTICE
- 4.1 In accordance with Section 94 of the Community Charter, public notice of the proposed disposition shall be published in two consecutive issues of the Grand Forks Gazette and advertised on the City of Greenwood website.
## 5. RESERVE FUND
- 5.1 Proceeds from the sale shall be deposited into a Land Purchase Reserve Fund for future acquirement of property within the municipality.
## EFFECTIVE DATE
6.1 This Bylaw shall come into full force and effect (upon adoption / specific date).
