BYLAW NO. 1060, 2014
being a bylaw to implement
Municipal Ticketing Information System
Pursuant to the Community Charter S.B.C. 2003
WHEREAS the Community Charter empowers the District by bylaw, to designate
those bylaws for which Municipal Ticketing Information may be used as a means
of bylaw enforcement;
AND WHEREAS the Community Charter empowers the Council, by bylaw, to
authorize the use of any word or expression on a Municipal Ticketing Information
System to designate an offence against a bylaw;
AND WHEREAS the Council deems it expedient to authorize the use of Municipal
Ticketing Information for the enforcement of certain bylaws, to authorize the use of
certain words or expressions to designate certain bylaw offences, and to set certain
fine amounts;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the District of Houston, in open meeting
assembled, enacts as follows:
SCHEDULES
1.0
Schedule A and Schedules B1 through B13 are attached hereto and form
part of this bylaw.
CITATION
2.0
This Bylaw may be cited as "Municipal Ticketing Information System
Implementation Bylaw No. 1060, 2014".
SEVERABILITY
3.0
If a portion of this bylaw is held invalid by a Court of competent jurisdiction,
then the invalid portion must be severed and the remainder of this bylaw
is deemed to have been adopted without the severed section, subsection,
paragraph, subparagraph, clause or phrase

GENERAL PROVISIONS
4.0
The bylaws listed in Column 1 of Schedule "A" of this bylaw may be
enforced by means of a ticket in the form prescribed for the purpose of
section 264 of the Community Charter.
4.1
The persons who act in the job positions or titles listed in Column 2 of Schedule
"A" to this bylaw are designated Bylaw Enforcement Officers for the purpose of
enforcing the bylaws listed in Column 1 of Schedule "A" opposite the respective
job position.
4.2
The words or expressions set forth in Column 1 of Schedule "B1" through
"B13" of this bylaw designate the offence committed under the bylaw section
number appearing in Column 2 of Schedule "B1" through "B13" opposite the
respective words of expressions.
4.3
The dollar amounts in Column 3 of Schedule "B1" through "B13" of this bylaw
are the fines for the corresponding offences designated in Column 1 of
Schedule "B1" through "B13".
