BYLAW NO. 1298
A bylaw to regulate the RV Park/Campground
WHEREAS pursuant t o Section 194 o f the Community
Charter Council may by bylaw impose a fee payable i n respect of
a l l or p a r t of a s e r v i c e o f the m u n i c i p a l i t y ;
deems i t d e s i r a b l e t o provide outdoor t o u r i s t accommodation w i t h
no access t o water, sewer and e l e c t r i c a l hookups f r e e of charge
f o r v i s i t o r s t h a t are v a c a t i o n i n g i n the Mackenzie area.
AND WHEREAS the Council o f the D i s t r i c t of Mackenzie
deems i t d e s i r a b l e t o e s t a b l i s h accommodation fees f o r the use of
a RV Park/Campground;
NOW THEREFORE the Council o f the D i s t r i c t o f Mackenzie
i n open meeting assembled HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1.
That r e g u l a t i o n s and fees f o r accommodations a t the RV
Park/Campground w i t h no access t o water, sewer and
e l e c t r i c a l hookups be as f o l l o w s :
(a) Accommodation f o r person or group o f persons s h a l l
be f r e e of charge f o r (2) two n i g h t s i n any (30)
t h i r t y - d a y p e r i o d .
(b) An a p p l i c a t i o n may be made t o the D i r e c t o r of
Operations f o r :
and t h a t the maximum d u r a t i o n of any Permit s h a l l
be (7) seven n i g h t s .
This permit may be
renewable.
(c) Any person or groups o f persons wishing t o extend
t h e i r stay beyond the i n i t i a l (2) two-day
accommodation p e r i o d who i s not granted a Permit
or exemption t o do so s h a l l be charged the
f o l l o w i n g r a t e s :
AND WHEREAS the Council of the D i s t r i c t of Mackenzie
( i )
a Permit t o allow f o r an extended
stay, f r e e o f charge, beyond the
i n i t i a l (2) two n i g h t s , or
( i i )
an exemption from the r e s t r i c t i o n
l i m i t i n g f r e e accommodation t o once
i n any (30) t h i r t y - d a y p e r i o d ,
( i )
$17.00 plus a p p l i c a b l e taxes per
p a r k i n g s t a l l per day
(d)
Fees f o r accommodation are due and payable i n
advance a t the time o f the e x p i r a t i o n o f the
i n i t i a l (2) two days.

Park/Campground w i t h access t o e l e c t r i c a l hookups
alone, or f u l l s e r v i c e e l e c t r i c a l , water and sewer
hookups w i l l be as f o l l o w s :
(a)
Rates f o r e l e c t r i c a l hookups only:
$22.00 plus a p p l i c a b l e taxes per p a r k i n g s t a l l per
day
(b)
Rates f o r f u l l - s e r v i c e hookups:
$27.00 plus a p p l i c a b l e taxes per p a r k i n g s t a l l per
day
(c)
A l l fees are due and payable i n advance.
(d)
Requests f o r e l e c t r i c a l hookups must be made
between 7:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday t o Friday,
excluding s t a t u t o r y h o l i d a y s .

Bylaw No. 127 6 c i t e d as "RV Park/Campground Bylaw No.
1276, 2012 i s hereby repealed.
4.
This bylaw may be c i t e d as "RV Park/Campground Bylaw
No. 1298, 2013".

A bylaw to regulate the RV Park/Campground

WHEREAS pursuant to the Community Charter Council may by bylaw impose a fee payable in
respect of all or part of a service of the municipality;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the District of Mackenzie deems it desirable, in certain areas, to
provide outdoor tourist accommodation with no access to water, sewer and electrical hook-ups
free of charge for visitors that are vacationing in the Mackenzie area;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the District of Mackenzie deems it desirable to establish
accommodation fees for the use of its RV Park/Campgrounds;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the District of Mackenzie in open meeting assembled HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1.
That regulations and fees for accommodations at the municipal-owned RV
Park/Campground located next to the Municipal Office at 1 Mackenzie Boulevard,
with no access to water, sewer and electrical hook-ups be as follows:
(a)
Accommodation for person or group of persons shall be free of charge
for (2) two nights in any (30) thirty-day period.
(b)
An application may be made to the Director of Operations for:
(i)
a Permit to allow for an extended stay, free of charge, beyond the
initial (2) two nights, or
(ii)
an exemption from the restriction limiting free accommodation to
once in any (30) thirty-day period,
and that the maximum duration of any Permit shall be (7) seven nights.
This permit may be renewable.
(c)
Any person or groups of persons wishing to extend their stay beyond the
initial (2) two-day accommodation period who is not granted a Permit or
exemption to do so shall be charged the following rates:
(i)
$17.00 plus applicable taxes per parking stall per day
(d)
Fees for accommodation are due and payable in advance at the time of
the expiration of the initial (2) two days.
2.
That regulations and fees for accommodations at the RV Park/Campground with
access to electrical hookups alone, or full service electrical, water and sewer
hookups will be as follows:
(a)
Rates for electrical hookups only:
$22.00 plus applicable taxes per parking stall per day
(b)
Rates for full-service hookups:
$27.00 plus applicable taxes per parking stall per day
(c)
All fees are due and payable in advance.
