ADOPTION DATE CONTENT Fees and Charges Bylaw 805, 2022 Page 3 THE CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF MCBRIDE FEES AND CHARGES BYLAW NO. 805, 2022 A Bylaw of the Corporation of the Village of McBride to impose fees and charges. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Community Charter and Local Government Act Council may, by bylaw impose a fee or charge; AND WHERAS Council deems it desirable to consolidate fees and charges within a single bylaw for convenience; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Village of McBride, in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 - Introduction 1.1 Title This Bylaw may be cited as the "Village of McBride Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 805, 2022". 1.2 Definitions Unless otherwise defined herein, all words and phrases in this Bylaw shall have the meaning given to them in the Local Government Act and the Community Charter. In this Bylaw: "Village" means the Corporation of the Village of McBride. 1.3 Severability If any section, subsection, clause, sub-clause or phrase of this Bylaw is for any reason held to be invalid by the decision of any Court of competent jurisdiction, that section, subsection, clause, sub-clause or phrase shall be struck from the Bylaw and any decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Bylaw. For clarity, no refund is payable after works have been initiated. A.2.2 Connections over 3/4-inch - connection charge shall be an amount equal to the cost of the water connection including all materials, labour, equipment and overhead. Estimate will be provided and tendered with the connection application.
