## VILLAGE OF MIDWAY BYLAW NO. 575 - 2025 Being a Bylaw pursuant to Section 224 of the Community Charter to exempt from taxation certain properties situated in the Village of Midway. WHEREAS, the Community Charter provides that Council may, by a bylaw, exempt from taxation certain lands and improvements; AND WHERAS Council deems it to be in the public interest to exempt from taxation, in the taxation years 2026 to 2029, those properties set out herein; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Village of Midway, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. That the following property, that is the interest in municipal land and building of a not-for-profit organization specified by the Council that a not-for-profit organization uses or occupies as a licensee or tenant of the municipality, is exempt from taxation under the provisions of Section 224 (2) (d) of the Community Charter: 2. (a) Leased portion of building and land on 2,465 sq. feet located on Lot A, Plan KAP64982, District Lot 501, Similkameen Division of Yale Land District, Except Plan KAP66388; KAP67242, Portion used for Ambulance Station purposes, 661 Eighth Ave. 2. This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 575 - 2025.
