Municipal Ticket Information System Bylaw No. 1279, 2011
A Bylaw to authorize the use of the Municipal Ticket Information System
WHEREAS Council deems it necessary and desirable for the purpose of enforcing Town of
Osoyoos bylaws to establish a Municipal Ticket Information System, which designates Town
Bylaws that may be enforced, officers entitled to enforce each of the bylaws and set the fines for
offences under this MTI system.
NOW THEREFORE, the municipal council of the Corporation of the Town of Osoyoos, in open
meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1.
This Bylaw may be cited as "Municipal Ticket Information Bylaw No. 1279, 2011".
2.
The bylaws listed in Column 1 of Schedule 1 to this Bylaw may be enforced by means of a
ticket in the form prescribed for the purpose of Section 264(1) of the Community Charter.
3.
The persons who act in the job position or titles listed in Column 2 of Schedule 1 to this
bylaw are designated as bylaw enforcement officers pursuant to Section 264(1)(b) of the
Community Charter for the purpose of enforcing the bylaws listed in Column 1 of Schedule
1 opposite the respective job positions.
4.
The words or expressions set forth in Column 1 of Schedules 2 through 23 to this bylaw
designates the offence committed under the bylaw section numbers appearing in Column
2 of the Schedules 2 through 23 opposite the respective word or expressions.
5.
The amounts appearing in Column 3 of Schedules 2 through 23 to this bylaw are fines for
the corresponding offences designated in Column 1 of Schedules 2 through 23 of this
Bylaw.
6.
"Ticket Information Bylaw No. 1214, 2005" and all amendments thereto is hereby
repealed.
Read a first and second time on the 18th day of July, 2011.
Read a third time as amended on the 6th day of September, 2011.
Adopted on the 7th day of November, 2011.
