CONSOLIDATED FOR CONVENIENCE UTILITY RATES BYLAW NO. 2351 (Includes Amendments Enacted by BYLAWS No. 2372, 2400 & 2425) All persons making use of this consolidated version of City of Revelstoke Bylaw No. 2351 are advised that it has no legislative sanction; that the amendments have been embodied for convenience of reference only and that the original bylaw must be consulted for all purposes of interpreting and applying the law. Sub sections of the original bylaw and/or amendments which have been repealed have not been included in this consolidation. AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 194 of the Community Charter, a council may, by bylaw, impose a fee payable in respect of all or part of a service of the municipality and may establish terms and conditions for payment of a fee, including discounts, interest and penalties; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the City of Revelstoke, in open meeting assembled ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. THAT this Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "Utility Rates Bylaw No. 2351". 2. THAT the City of Revelstoke imposes fees and charges for the provision of goods, services and information as specified in Schedules A - D, attached hereto and forming part of this bylaw: Schedule A - Garbage Rates Schedule B - Water Rates (excluding Big Eddy) Schedule C - Big Eddy Water Rates Schedule D - Sewer Rates 3. Wherever this Bylaw sets out fees and charges with respect to other City of Revelstoke Bylaws and such other Bylaws contain similar fees and charges, this Bylaw is deemed to prevail. 4. If any section, subsection or clause of this Bylaw is for any reason held to be invalid by the decision of a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision will not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Bylaw. 5. Tag-a-bag sticker - for additional garbage bag (non refundable) $4.75 COMMERCIAL USE 4. Tag-a-bag sticker - for garbage bag (non refundable) - each $4.75 Must be located in Commercial Collection Area. PENALTY: The penalty for late payment of any utility fees is 10%. PRORATION: Residential (Annual Rates) Residential customers paying annual rates for domestic garbage pick-up service shall have their first bill prorated according to the number of months that they receive garbage pick-up service for the year and shall pay for the whole month in which they first receive service. Residential customers paying annual rates for domestic garbage pick-up service who discontinue the service part way through the year shall have their last bill prorated according to the number of months that they received service for the year and shall pay for the whole month in which they discontinued the service.
