THE CORPORATION OF THE CITYOF ROSSLAND
BYLAW# 2709
A BYLAWTO AMEND ROSSLAND ZONING BYLAWNo. 2518
WHEREAS Part 26 of the Local Government
Act R.S.B.C. 1996, c.323 authorizes the Council
of the City of Rossland to establish and amend a zoning bylaw;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the City of Rossland deems it necessary
and expedient
to
amend the City of Rossland's Zoning Bylaw No. 2518, 2011
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the
City of Rossland, in open
meeting
assembled,
ENACTSAS FOLLOWS:
SHORT TITLE
1.
This Bylaw may be cited as the "Zoning Amendment
Bylaw, No. 2709, 2019".
AMENDMENT
2.
Section 3.1

DEFINITIONS
-- of Schedule "A"of the City of Rossland Zoning Bylaw No. 2518
4.
is hereby amended by adding the following new definitions:
"Micro
Processing,
Cannabis"
means
the
small scale manufacturing,
packaging and
labelling of cannabis products destined for sale to customers
and intra--industry sales of
those
products,
including
to provincially authorized distributors,
as well as associated
activities as authorized under the Cannabis Act (Canada);
"Standard
Processing,
Cannabis" means the large scale manufacturing,
packaging and
labelling of cannabis products destined for sale to customers
and intra--industry sales of
those products, including to provincially authorized distributors
as authorized under the
Cannabis Act (Canada);
Section 3.1

is hereby amended
by changing Section 3.0, Definitions, "Cannabis Operation"
to the
following:
"Cannabis
Operation"
means
the cultivating,
growing,
producing,
packaging,
storing,
distributing,
dispensing,
advertising,
trading,
consumption,
or selling of cannabis or its
derivatives
but excludes a City--approved Cannabis
Retail Store,
Cannabis
Standard
Processing
or Cannabis Micro Processing establishment.
Section
8.1
-- M-1 LIGHT INDUSTRIALSchedule "A" of the City of Rossland Zoning
Bylaw No. 2518 is hereby amended by adding the following uses
8.1.2 (0) Micro Processing,
Cannabis
8.1.2 (p) Standard Processing, Cannabis
ENACTMENT
3.
(1)
If any section, subsection, sentence,
clause or phrase
of this Bylaw is for any
reason held to be invalid by a decision of any court
of competent
jurisdiction,
the
invalid portion
shall be severed
and the part that is invalid shall not affect the
validity ofthe remainder.
(2)
This Bylaw shall come into full force and effect on the final adoption thereof.
