Includes Bylaw Amendments: No. 9909 Page 1 of 3 THE CORPORATION OF THE DISTRICT OF SAANICH BYLAW NO. 9688 TO IMPOSE FEES FOR SEWER, WATER AND STORM DRAIN CONNECTIONS The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the District of Saanich in open meeting assembled enacts as follows: Definitions/Interpretation 1. In this Bylaw: a. "At Cost" means the actual cost of the work as determined by the Municipality, which includes the amount expended by the Municipality for gross wages and salaries, employee fringe benefits, materials, equipment rentals at rates paid by the Municipality or set by the Municipality for use of its own equipment, administration charges, applicable taxes, and any other expenditures incurred in doing the work. b. "Municipality" means The Corporation of the District of Saanich. c. "Sanitary Sewer Bylaw" means the Sanitary Sewer Bylaw, 2006, No. 8792, as amended and replaced from time to time. d. "Water Utility Bylaw" means the Water Utility Bylaw, 2000, No. 8124, as amended and replaced from time to time. e. "Watercourse and Drainage Bylaw" means the Watercourse and Drainage Regulation Bylaw, 1996, No. 7501, as amended and replaced from time to time. 2. There is hereby imposed upon every person obtaining a service or work listed under Column 2 of Schedule 'A' attached to this Bylaw the corresponding fee listed under Column 3 of Schedule 'A', to be paid to the Municipality. 3. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "SEWER, WATER AND STORM DRAINAGE CONNECTION FEE BYLAW, 2021, NO. 9688". Includes Bylaw Amendments No. 9909. Sewer, Water And Storm Drainage Connection Fee Bylaw, 2021, No. 9688 Page 2 of 3 Schedule "A" Fees for Service Connections Bylaw Service Fee Watercourse and Drainage Bylaw; Storm Drainage Connection 6(c)(i) Install 100mm storm drain connection $8,000.00 6(c)(ii) Remove rock for the purpose of laying connecting pipes At cost 6(c)(iii) Work on a collector street, major street or arterial highway $1,000.00 6(c)(iv) Laying connecting pipes at a depth greater than 3 m $150/m vertical depth below 3m x horizontal distance in meters 6(c)(v) Reuse of an existing connection $50.00 6(c)(vi) Dye test $275.00 6(c)(vii) Flushing storm sewer or storm drain connection $1.50/m (min. $100.00) 6(c)(viii) Install Drain Inspection Chamber $2,800.00 6(c)(ix) Cap/Disconnect Storm Drain Service $425.00 6 (c) (x) Storm Drain Connection installation greater than 100mm At cost.
