## THE CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF SALMO
## BY-LAW No. 515
A By-Law providing for the regulation of the sale and discharge of fireworks within the limits of the Village of Salmo.
Pursuant to section 728 of the Local Government Act the Council of the Corporation of the Village of Salmo, in open meeting assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
- No person shall sell, offer for sale, give or otherwise distribute:
- Fireworks to any person or organization, except between October 25th and October 31st inclusive, in any year;
- a) Fireworks without a valid Business Licence issued by the Village of Salmo;
- c) Firecrackers.
2. Prohibition of discharge:
- No person shall point, direct or throw fireworks at any person, animal, building or motor vehicle where such fireworks are being discharged;
- No person shall discharge firecrackers;
- c) No person shall set off fireworks within the Village limits without the express written permission of the Council.
- Any person violating any provision of this bylaw shall, upon summary conviction, be liable to a fine of not more than $500 for a first offence and of not more than $1000 for a second or subsequent offence.
4. This By-law may be known and cited for all purposes as the "Village of Salmo Fireworks By-law No. 515, 2003" and shall take effect upon adoption by Salmo Village Council.
- "The Corporation of the Village of Salmo Volunteer Fireworks By-law No. 123, 1964" is hereby repealed.
