policies/district-bylaws/mti-system-bylaw-95-030---consolidated-to-december-9-2025.pdf?sfvrsn=dc0ac8fb_0" municipality_ids: - gx-000136 content_type: "application/pdf" captured_at: "2026-06-08T05:38:58+00:00" normalize_method: "pdf-pymupdf" normalize_version: "0.2" needs_ocr: false char_count: 27808 --- CONSOLIDATED MTI BYLAW 95-030 - Consolidated to December 9, 2025 THE CORPORATION OF THE DISTRICT OF SUMMERLAND BYLAW NUMBER 95-030 A BYLAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE DISTRICT OF SUMERLAND TO AUTHORIZE THE USE OF THE MUNICIPAL TICKETING INFORMATION SYSTEM WHEREAS, Section 934.1(1)(a) of the Municipal Act empowers the Council of the Corporation of the District of Summerland to, by bylaw, designate those bylaws for which municipal ticket information may be used as means of bylaw enforcement; AND WHEREAS Section 934.1(1)(c) of the Municipal Act empowers the Council of the Corporation of the District of Summerland to, by bylaw, authorize the use of any word or expression on a municipal ticket information to designate an offence against a bylaw; AND WHEREAS Section 934.1(10) of the Municipal Act empowers the Council of the Corporation of the District of Summerland to, by bylaw, set fine amounts in consultation with the Chief Judge of the Provincial Court; AND WHEREAS, the Council of the Corporation of the District of Summerland deems it expedient to authorize the use of municipal ticket information for the enforcement of certain bylaws, to authorize the use of certain words or expressions to designate certain bylaw offences and set certain fine amounts; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the District of Summerland in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. The bylaws listed in Column 1 of Schedule "A" to this bylaw, as amended from time to time, may be enforced by means of a ticket in the form prescribed for the purpose of Section 934.1 of the Municipal Act. 2. The persons appointed to the job positions or titles listed in Column 2 of Schedule "A" to this bylaw are designated as bylaw enforcement officers pursuant to Section 934.1(1)(b) of the Municipal Act for the purpose of enforcing the bylaws listed in Column 1 of Schedule "A" opposite the respective job positions. 3. The words or expressions set forth in Column 1 of Schedules 1 through 12 to this bylaw designate the offence committed under the bylaw section number appearing in Column 2 opposite the respective words or expressions. 4. The amounts appearing in Column 3 of Schedules 1 through 12 to this bylaw are the fines set pursuant to Section 934.1(10) of the Municipal Act for the corresponding offences designated in Column 1. That the District of Summerland Ticket Information Utilization Bylaw Number 94-001 is hereby rescinded. Read a First, Second and Third time this 14th day of August, 1995.
