THE CORPORATION OF THE DISTRICT OF SUMMERLAND
BYLAW NUMBER 2025-007
PUBLIC NOTICE BYLAW
WHEREAS pursuant to section 94.2 of the Community Charter, Council may adopt a
Bylaw to provide an alternative means of publishing public notice;
AND WHEREAS, pursuant to section 94.2(3) of the Community Charter and section 2 of
the Public Notice Regulation, B.C. Reg. 52/2022, Council considers the means of
publication set by this Bylaw to be reliable, suitable for providing notices, and
accessible;
NOW THEREFORE, The Municipal Council of the Corporation of the District of
Summerland, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
1.
In accordance with the Community Charter, alternative means of publication for
the purpose of public notice shall be:
a) electronically by posting the notice on the District of Summerland website;
and
b) electronically by posting on the District's Facebook page.
2. This bylaw comes into force and effect on April 1, 2025.
3.
This bylaw may be cited as "Public Notice Bylaw No. 2025-007".
Read a first, second, and third time this 1 1th day of February, 2025.
Adopted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the District of Summerland this
4th day of March, 2025.
