## FEES AND CHARGES BYLAW NO. 594
## A BYLAW TO IMPOSE FEES PAYABLE FOR MUNICIPAL SERVICES, THE USE OF MUNICIPAL PROPERTY, AND APPLICATIONS FOR MUNICIPAL PERMITS
THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TAHSIS, in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
## Citation and Definitions
1. This bylaw may be cited as the "Fees and Charges Bylaw No 594".
2. In this bylaw, "at cost" means the cost incurred by the Village in providing a service, including the amount expended by the Village for gross wages and salaries, employee fringe benefits, materials, equipment rentals at rates paid by the Village or set by the Village for its own equipment, administration charges, and any other expenditures incurred in doing the work.
## Imposition of Fees and Charges
3. The fees and charges set out in the following Schedules attached to and forming part of this Bylaw are hereby imposed for the provision of the services, use of municipal property, and permit applications referred to therein.

13. "K" Opening Burning Permit Fee
## Taxes
4. The fees and charges established by this Bylaw do not include federal or provincial taxes and are therefore subject to the addition of those taxes where applicable.
## Severability
- If a portion of this Bylaw is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, then the invalid portion must be severed and the remainder of this Bylaw is deemed to have been adopted without the severed section, subsection, paragraph, subparagraph, clause or phrase.
## Repeal and Commencement
6. Fees and Charges Amendment Bylaw No. 541-4, 2014 is hereby repealed
7. Village of Tahsis Fees Bylaw No. 544, 2008 is hereby repealed.
8. The Village of Tahsis Water Rates and Regulations Bylaw 581, 2016 is amended such that the reference to the fees imposed in Schedule "D" s. 6 are deemed to be a reference to the applicable fees imposed in Schedule "G" of this Bylaw.
9. The Village of Tahsis Building Bylaw No. 526, 2006 is amended so that each reference to a fee imposed under Schedule "A" of that Bylaw is deemed to be a reference to the applicable fee imposed under Schedule "H" of this Bylaw.
10. The Village of Tahsis Animal Control and Licensing Bylaw No. 420, 1997 is amended such that each reference to a fee imposed under Schedule "A" of that Bylaw is deemed to be a reference to the applicable fee imposed under Schedule "J" of this Bylaw.
11. The Village of Tahsis Sign Bylaw No. 550, 2009 is amended such that the reference to the fee imposed in s. 2.2 is deemed to be a reference to the applicable fee imposed in Schedule "K" of this Bylaw
12. The Village of Tahsis Outdoor Burning Bylaw No. 516, 2005 is amended such that the reference to the fee imposed in Schedule "B" is deemed to be a reference to the applicable fee imposed in Schedule "L" of this Bylaw.
13. This bylaw shall come into effect upon its adoption.
