Council may, by bylaw, exempt properties from taxation for a fixed period of time pursuant to section 224 of the Community Charter, S.B.C. 2003. c. 26. The White Rock Lawn Bowling Club has leased the land and improvements located at 1079 Dolphin Street from the Corporation of the City of White Rock ("the City"). 1079 Dolphin Street is legally described as: Parcel Identifier: 011-621-125 Parcel B (639642E), Except: Parcel A (Reference Plan 8849), Block 27, Section 11, Township I, New Westminster District, Plan NWP488 (the "Lands) Pursuant to section 224 of the Community Charter, the City of White Rock wishes to grant an eight (8) year municipal property tax exemption in respect of the leased property with improvements. The CITY COUNCIL of the Corporation of the City of White Rock in open meeting assembled, ENACTS as follows: 1. The premise described in the lease, as shown outlined in red on Schedule A, is hereby exempt from municipal taxation for the calendar years 2024 through 2031. Schedule A is attached to and forms part of this bylaw. 2. The conditions imposed on the tenant are as outlined in the lease and are conditions precedent to the municipal tax exemption granted by this bylaw.
