APPLICATION
Rural Dust Control:
The Municipality does not provide rural dust control services. Rural ratepayers can register at the
Municipal Office to apply their own dust control at no cost with an approved dust control product
(calcium chloride or manganese chloride). Ratepayers will be responsible for acquiring and
purchasing their own product. The Municipality will not be held responsible for blading through
any non-registered sites. Rural ratepayers are required to contact the municipality to provide
legal land description that has had a dust control application by March 1st of every calendar year.
Annual blading of dust control by the Municipality will be scheduled for October 1st of every year.
Urban Dust Control:
Municipality will apply calcium chloride on unpaved front streets and business back alleys as per
attached map. Urban ratepayers must register at the Municipal Office to apply their own dust
control with an approved dust control product (calcium chloride or manganese chloride) at the
approved rate for each. Ratepayers will be responsible for acquiring and purchasing their own
product. There will be no registration fee charged however the Municipality will not complete
any site prep. Municipality will blade front streets and back lanes as necessary for ongoing
maintenance. Ratepayers are required to have signed adjacent landowner approval prior to
application.
ENFORCEMENT
Any person that contravenes any part of this policy, or completes works without Municipal
authorization, as required, will be subject to the applicable costs or fines to remedy the matter
and/or repair damages to road surface.
