Grandview Municipality General Holidays Effective Date: December 2, 2015 Resolution No 2015-456 Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to outline which days shall be observed as paid General Holidays by the Municipality Definitions: Employee: A full-time, part-time, seasonal, or casual employee. Procedure: The following days shall be observed as paid General Holidays:  New Year's Day  Louis Riel Day  Good Friday  Easter Monday  Victoria Day  Canada Day  August Civic Holiday  Labour Day  Thanksgiving Day  Remembrance Day  Christmas Day  Boxing Day And any other day which is proclaimed and enforced by the Federal or Provincial Government as a legal holiday. Where the holiday falls on either a Saturday or a Sunday, the holiday shall be observed on the Monday immediately following. An employee must work his/her last shift prior to the holiday and his/her next scheduled shift immediately after the holiday in order to be paid for the holiday.
