Employee Benefits
Effective Date: October 28, 2015
Resolution No 2015-423
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to outline the Municipality's policy for benefit enrollment.
Procedure:
Full-time employees will be eligible for the Employee Benefits under the Municipal
Employees Benefits Plan (MEBP) and the Western Financial Group Insurance (Blue
Cross) following their probation period.
Part-time employees having an indefinite term may be eligible for employee benefits.
This will be evaluated by the CAO on an individual basis.
Based on the level of earnings, MEBP may deem it necessary for Part-time and Term
employees to become eligible for benefits.
