Beaver Dam Removal

Resolution No 2016-237
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to outline the responsibilities for beaver dam removal.
Policy
1. The removal of beaver dams on private property is deemed to be the responsibility
of the property owner.
2. The Grandview Municipality will remove beaver dams at the expense of
the municipality if said dam is causing a direct conflict with a municipal culvert,
municipal road or municipal property.
3. Entry onto private property to remove beaver dams which are affecting municipal
infrastructure requires written authorization from the property owner.
