Ridging Fields
Effective Date: August 10, 2016
Resolution No 2016-237
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to outline the process for ridging fields adjacent to
municipal roads from time to time may become problematic due to heavy snowfall.
Procedure:
1. The Public Works Manager will bring forward to the Council a list of any road
that may be affected by heavy snowfall.
2. Public Works Manager to obtain in writing permission for the municipality to
enter onto private property for ridging purposes.
3. Public Works Manager to obtain in writing from the property owner that no
hazards exist at the site to be ridged.
