Grandview Municipality
Opening Ditches
Effective Date: August 10, 2016
Resolution No 2016-237
Purpose:
The purpose of this policy is to outline the requirement for a ditch to be opened in the
spring
Policy
The Grandview Municipality will not open a ditch in the spring unless circumstances
arise which pose an emergency or threat to an individual or to municipal infrastructure.
The Public Works Manager or CAO may designate specific municipal drainage ditches to
be opened on an annual basis that may pose a recurring/chronic problem.
