Purpose:
To establish a plan to identify and address past and present barriers to ensure equal opportunity to ALL, to
access and benefit from Municipal services.
Procedure:
1) This
policy
sets
out
that
the
Municipality
will
address
and
review
attitudinal,
informational/communication, technological, systemic, physical and architectural barriers that
present themselves, bi-annually.
2) Update Accessibility Plan as Provincial Guidelines become available.
3) The Municipality will apply for all Accessibility Funding provided by the Province to assist
municipalities in the implemention of barrier-free services and facilities.
