## MUNICIPALITY OF PEMBINA BY-LAW NO. 7/2017
BEING a by-law of the Municipality of Pembina to prohibit the keeping of poultry, pigs, cattle, sheep, goats and horses within the Local Urban District of La Riviere, the Local Urban District of Darlingford and the Town of Manitou.
WHEREAS under Section 232 (1) subsection (k) of the Municipal Act, the Council of a municipality may pass by-laws for municipal purposes respecting wild and domestic animals and activities in relation to them, including by-laws differentiating based on sex, breed, size or weight;
AND WHEREAS the Municipality of Pembina may prohibit the keeping of poultry, pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, and horses within the boundaries of the Local Urban District of La Riviere, Local Urban District of Darlingford, and the Town of Manitou;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Municipality of Pembina duly assembled enacts as follows;
1. That on or after passing of this by-law, it shall be unlawful for any person to raise or keep poultry, fowl, pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, and/or horses within the limits of the Local Urban District of La Riviere, the Local Urban District of Darlingford and the Town of Manitou unless that area is zoned Agricultural Restricted ("AR").
DONE AND PASSED by Council of the Municipality of Pembina duly assembled in Manitou, in the Province of Manitoba, this 12'h day of October, 2017.
