The Local Government District of Pinawa
By-law No. 909-23
Being a By-law of the Local Government District of Pinawa to prescribe fees, fines,
and charges for municipal services
WHEREAS Section 232(2)(d) of the Municipal Act, a municipality may in a By-law
establish fees or other charges for services, activities or things provided or done by
the Municipality;
AND WHEREAS the Local Government District of Pinawa deems it advisable to
include in one By-law the fees and charges payable to the Local Government District
for certain services rendered by officers and employees of the Local Government
District;
AND WHEREAS the Local Government District of Pinawa, duly assembled, enacts
as follows:
1 .
THAT this By-law shall be known as The Fees, Fines, and Charges By-
law.
2.
THAT the fees and charges payable to the local Government District of
Pinawa for services rendered by officers and employees of the Local
Government District shall be as set out in the following schedules attached
hereto and replace any other fees charged in any Local Government Distrlct
of Pinawa By-laws;
3.
THAT the fees, fines, and charges set out in the schedules attached to this
By-law shali-take precedence over any other previous related By-law.

THAT the Council of the Local Government District of Pinawa may from time
to time, by resolution, amend each and every schedule attached to this By-
law.
5.
THAT any unpaid fees or charges owing the Local Government District that
relate to property, including-·any penalties related thereto and any fines
imposed on the taxpayer, may be added to the taxpayer's taxes, and may be
collected by the Municipality in the same manner as a tax may be collected
or enforced under the Municipal Act;
6.
THAT this By-law shall come into force and effect on enactment of this by-
law.
DONE AND PASSED in open council assembled at the Council Chambers of the
Local Government District of Pinawa, in Pinawa, in the Province of Manitoba this 9th
day of May, 2023. Council of the Local Government District (L.G.D.) of Pinawa
enacts as follows:
