RM of Argyle/LUD of Baldur Garbage Policy The Municipality of Argyle/ LUD of Baldur has a multi-faceted waste management program. It provides curb side garbage and recycling pick-up, owns and operates a landfill site, recycling site and compost site as well as E-waste and Oil drop off. Garbage Collection The LUD of Baldur has weekly curb side, residential and business garbage and recycling pick-up. Glenora Garbage & Recycling Transportation and Collection is set out in By-Law #6-2015 Special Service Plan #1-2015 Seasonal service is provided on a fee for service to the Rock Lake Cottage area from May 1 - October 31 yearly. Fees are set by resolution of Council. Garbage Schedule Baldur Recycling and Glenora/Rock Lake garbage & recycling pick up are scheduled for Monday mornings. Baldur garbage pick up is scheduled for Tuesday mornings. Baldur cardboard pickup is scheduled for Friday mornings. When there is a long weekend, there will be no pickup on the holiday Monday. Baldur recycling will be moved to Wednesday morning and Glenora pickup will be moved to the Tuesday morning. Collection Regulations 1. Refuse must be placed at curb side no later than 8:00 am on the day of collection to ensure pickup. 2. Each resident may place approximately two bags per week (36" size). 3. Bags not collected will not be picked up until the following week if the garbage is not bagged properly or ripped open etc. 4. Garbage bags must be securely tied and it is recommended that they are kept in a trash container to keep pets or rodents out of them. 5. Garbage bags are to contain household garbage only. Any bags containing non- household garbage will not be picked up. 6. No person shall place for collection, any garbage in front of any address except the address at which the garbage is generated. 7. Recyclable materials, tires, demolition and construction materials, animal feces, liquids, branches and leaves, furniture and appliances, paints, e-waste, oils, batteries, propane tanks and other hazardous material, will not be collected with garbage. 8. Any broken glass must be wrapped in paper to make it as safe as possible to be picked up. 9. Garbage other than household garbage may be picked up at your curb for a fee if arrangements are made with the office - ie: furniture or bagged leaves etc.
