## RM OF COLDWELL BY-LAW NO. 04/2009
## BEING A BY-LAW TO PROHIBIT SMOKING IN DESIGNATED BUILDINGS AND VEHICLES.
WHEREAS subsection 6(1) of The Non Smokers Health Protection Act provides as follows:
Notwithstanding the provisions of this Act, a municipal council may pass a by aw to limit or ban smoking in any enclosed public place in the municipality'
AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and in the best interest of the municipality to prohibit smoking in certain designated buildings and vehicles:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of The RM of Coldwell enacts as follows:
- 1) THAT smoking in any building belonging to the RM of Coldwell or any enclosed public place is hereby prohibited.
- 3) THAT smoking in any vehicle belonging to the RM of Coldwell or public vehicle is hereby prohibited.
- 2) THAT smoking outside any building belonging to the RM of Coldwell or any enclosed public place must be 30 feet away from any entrance.
- 4) THAT this By-Law shall come into force and take effect on the day it is
DONE AND PASSED as a by-law of the RM of Coldwell at Lundar in the Province of Manitoba this qth day of June ,2009
