MEMBERSHIPS POLICY

PRINCIPLES:
The purpose of this policy is to give authorization to the CAO to automatically
renew certain annual Memberships without the need to obtain a council resolution
each time.
1. MEMBERSHIPS INCLUDED IN THIS POLICY:
Whereas once an employee / representative of the municipality has been enrolled
in a membership upon approval from Council, annual renewals are needed.
This policy authorizes the CAO to approval annual renewals of the following
Memberships:
a) Water and Wastewater Membership
b) Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs (MAFC) Membership
c) Association of Manitoba Municipalities (AMM) Membership
d) Manitoba Municipal Administrators Association (MMAA) Membership
2. INITIAL APPROVAL:
Initial approval by Council resolution is required for the addition of a new person
to a membership. Once this initial approval is obtained, this policy will apply to the
annual renewal.
