RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF LA BROQUERIE BY-LAW 09-2021 Being a By-law of the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie to amend the fee schedule for municipal services and building permits rendered under the authority of The Municipal Act, The Planning Act and the By-Laws of the Municipality. WHEREAS the Municipal Act S.M. 1996, c. 58 - Cap.M225 indicates in Section 232(e)(i) and (iii) states as follows: 232(2) "Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), a council may in a by-law passed under this division (e) subject to regulations, provide for a system of licences, permits or approvals, including any or all of the following: (i) establishing fees, and terms for payment of fees, for inspections, licences, permits and approvals, including fees related to recovering the costs of regulation, (iii) prohibiting a development, activity, industry, business or thing until a licence, permit or approval is granted, AND WHEREAS the Council of the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie deems it expedient and in its best interest to include in one by-law all Finance and Administrative fees and charges payable to the Municipality for certain services rendered by officers and employees of the Municipality; NOW THEREFORE Be it resolved that the Council of the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie, hereby enacts this by-law as follows: 1. THAT the fees and charges payable to the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie for services rendered by officers and employees of the Municipality shall be as set out in Schedule "(A)" 2. THAT the fees and charges set out in the schedule attached to this by-law shall take precedence over any other By-Law or Resolution. 3. THAT this by-law shall be known as THE FEES AND CHARGES BY-LAW. 4. THAT By-Law No. 01-2018 be rescinded. 5. THAT any amendments to Schedule "A" can be done through resolution of Council. Business Licence $50.00 Business on website $ 5.00 BUILDING PERMIT FEES Before the issuance of a building permit, all fees must be paid in full RESIDENTIAL DEPOSIT: Unless otherwise identified below, for the construction, establishment, or placement of new dwellings $3,0000.00 deposit which includes deposit for Lot Grades, to ensure that all necessary building inspections are completed, and an occupancy permit has been issued. After six months, half of the fee to a maximum of $1,000.00 will be refunded plus the deposit.
