BY-LAW NO. 2018 - 5
Being a By-Law of the Rural Municipality of Oakview
to amend By-Law No. 2017-6
BEING A BY-LAW OF THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF OAKVIEW
AUTHORIZING THE ERECTION OF STOP SIGNS AND YIELD SIGNS IN
THE L.U.D. OF OAK RIVER, RAPID CITY, THE HAMLET OF CARDALE
AND BASSWOOD.
WHEREAS Section 75 of the Highway Traffic Act provides for a traffic authority
to erect traffic control signals:
AND WHEREAS the Rural Municipality of Oakview is the traffic authority for
certain highways within its boundaries;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interest of the inhabitants of the
Rural Municipality of Oakview that "stop" and "yield" signs be erected at certain
intersections:
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Rural Municipality of Oakview, in regular
session assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
1.
THAT the Rural Municipality of Oakview erect "stop" signs as follows:
OAK RIVER
a)
At the intersection of Miller Street and North Railway Street in
Oak River to stop South bound traffic;
b)
At the intersection of Delap Street and North Railway Street in
Oak River to stop South bound traffic;
c)
At the intersection of Limit Street and Delap Street in Oak River
to stop West bound traffic;
d)
At the intersection of South Railway Street and Delap Street in
Oak River to stop West bound traffic.
e)
At the intersection of Limit Street and Forrest Street in Oak
River to stop West bound traffic.
RAPID CITY
a) At the intersection of Barret Street & 2nd Avenue (Hwy #24)in
Rapid City to stop East and West bound traffic;
b) At the intersection of 1st Street & 2nd Avenue (Hwy #24) in Rapid
City to stop East and West bound traffic;
c) At the intersection of 2nd Street & 2nd Avenue (Hwy #24) in Rapid
City to stop South bound traffic;
d) At the intersection of 2nd Street & 2nd Avenue (Hwy #24) in Rapid
City to stop North bound traffic;
e) At the intersection of 3rd Street & 2nd Avenue (Hwy #24) in Rapid
City to stop South bound traffic;
f) At the intersection of 3rd Street & 2nd Avenue (Hwy #24) in Rapid
City to stop North bound traffic;
g) At the intersection of 4th Street & 2nd Avenue (Hwy #24) in Rapid
City to stop North bound traffic;

BASSWOOD
a)
At the intersection of McKinnon Street and Railway Avenue East in
Basswood to stop North bound traffic;

THAT the Rural Municipality of Oakview erect "yield" signs as
follows:
OAK RIVER
a) At the intersection of Limit Street and Forrest Street in Oak
River to regulate East bound traffic;
b) At the intersection of Limit Street and Miller Street in Oak
River to regulate East bound traffic;
c) At the intersection of Delap Street and North Railway Street in
Oak River to regulate North bound traffic;
d) At the intersection of South Railway Street and Miller Street in
Oak River to regulate East bound traffic;
e) At the intersection of Limit Street and Delap Street in Oak River
to regulate East bound traffic;
f) At the intersection of Limit Street and Cochrane Street in Oak
River to regulate West bound traffic;
g) At the intersection of McKinnet Street and Delap Street in Oak
River to regulate West bound traffic;
h) At the intersection of North Railway Street and Miller Street to

THAT By-Law No. 2017-6 be hereby repealed.
