# **FINANCE & TAXES**
The RM of Ritchot strives to be responsible and transparent in making Municipality finances easily accessible to members of the community. Questions pertaining to
finance may be directed to the CFO by emailing **[email protected]** or by calling the Municipal office at (204) 883-2293.
## **Financial Plan**
The municipal portion of your taxes are set annually by a by-law
following a public hearing and include at-large or rural area levies. Other
municipal charges may include garbage collection and sewer usage fees; which
are reviewed annually.

### **Mill Rates**
Mill rates are set by school mill rate determined by school divisions and
municipal mill rate that is determined by the Municipality when the current
years' budget is developed.
The effective mill rates for the year **2026** are as follows:
