POLICY STATEMENT
ÉNONCÉ DE POLITIQUE
The City of Bathurst Scholarship will award four (4)
scholarships. Two for BHS and two for ESN.
Each scholarship is valued at $500.00.
La Ville de Bathurst décernera quatre (4) bourses
d'études. Deux à BHS et deux à ESN.
La valeur de chaque bourse est 500 $.
DEFINITION
DÉFINITIONS
"City" stands for the City of Bathurst.
« Cité » - City of Bathurst
"Post-secondary establishment" stands for a
University, a College or a School offering post-
secondary programs that are recognized by the
Government.
« Établissement d'études postsecondaire » -
Collège, université, institut ou école qui offre de
la formation postsecondaire reconnue par le
gouvernement.
"Council" stands for the municipal Council.
« Conseil » - le maire et les conseillers de la
municipalité.
"Applicant" stands for the student making the
application.
« Demandeur » - étudiant qui dépose la
demande.
"School" stands for Bathurst High School (BHS)
and École secondaire Nepisiguit (ESN).
« École » - Bathurst High School (BHS) et
École secondaire Nepisiguit (ESN).
Interpretation - Words denoting the singular
include the plural and vice versa and words
denoting any gender include all genders.
Interprétation - L'emploi du masculin et du
singulier comprend le féminin et le pluriel
et inversement.

TO QUALIFY
ÉLIGIBILITÉ
Applicants must be accepted to a post-secondary
establishment.
Les demandeurs doivent être acceptés à un
établissement d'études postsecondaire.
SELECTION CRITERIA
CRITÈRES DE SÉLECTION
For each high school, scholarships will be awarded in
this order of priority:
Pour chaque école secondaire, les bourses seront
attribuées selon l'ordre de priorité suivant :
1. One scholarship will be awarded to a child,
grandchild or legal ward of a City employee;

petit-enfant ou un pupille d'un employé de la

In the event that no applications are
submitted under criteria 1, both scholarships
will be awarded under criteria 2

2. One scholarship will be awarded to a student
residing within the City limits;

Application form must be submitted to the school
by May 31st of each year.

All personal information will be kept confidential.

Any incomplete form will be automatically
rejected.
Toute demande incomplète sera
automatiquement rejetée.
SELECTION
SÉLECTION
The school will be responsible for looking at all
applications and submitting the name and address
of the successful candidate to the City Clerk's
office at [email protected].
L'école sera responsable de réviser les demandes
et de soumettre le nom et l'adresse du candidat
admissible au bureau de la greffière à
[email protected].
REPEALED
Policy No. 2010-02 "City of Bathurst Scholarship
Fund" is repealed and replaced with the proposed
new policy.
RÉVOCATIONS
La politique 2010-02 « Fonds de bourses
d'études de la Ville de Bathurst » est révoquée et
remplacée par la nouvelle politique proposée.
