## VILLAGE OF BELLEDUNE BY-LAW # 1995-12
## A BY-LAW TO PREVENT NUISANCES WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF BELLEDUNE
- (1) No person shall, without permission of the Mayor, the Clerk, or the Village Council:
2. (a) place or caused to be placed in or upon any ditch or a water course within the Village any manure, night soil, dirt, offal or offensive substance;
3. (b) place or caused to be placed in or upon any ditch or water course within the Village any glass, stone, wood, metal, rubbish or other material tending to impede the flow of water in such ditch or water course.
- (2) The Village Clerk, Mayor or any Village Councillor may require any person who is violent of the provisions of Subsection (1) to remove anything placed or caused to be placed as aforesaid and in case of his neglect or refusal to comply with such order, or if the person committing such violation cannot be found, the Village Clerk, Mayor or Village Council may forthwith remove or destroy such thing or sell the same as they deem advisable and the expense of such removal or destruction shall be paid by such persons in addition to any fine herein provided.
2. No person shall either directly or indirectly demand or invoke the official services of any authorized emergency vehicles or other emergency equipment operated by the Village where no reasonable cause exists for so doing.
3. No person shall knock on a door or ring a door bell of a resident within the Village for the purpose of annoying any person in such residence.
4. No person shall throw a stone, snowball or other missile on or into any street, or at any building.
8. No person shall coast or slide on a sled, toboggan, wagon, skateboard or other device on a street in the Village.
6. No person shall skate, or play any game of ball, hockey or other game on any street in the Village.
7. (1) No person shall make, or permit to be made, any noise within the Village of Belledune likely to cause a public disturbance or otherwise disturb the inhabitants of the Village:
- (2) Without restricting the generality of Section (1), a noise likely to cause a public disturbance or otherwise disturb the inhabitants of the Village of Belledune, shall be deemed to be any noise or sounds of such volume of of such nature as to cause annoyance to residences of the Village including shouting, singing, whistling, music, motor vehicles (including motorcycles and motorbikes), pneumatic hammers, vehicles of business and trade, construction equipment and machinery and animal noises.
12. This Section shall not apply to construction equipment and machinery; vehicles of business and trade between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, inclusive.
13. This by-law shall not apply to snow removal equipment and authorized emergency vehicles or other emergency equipment.
14. Any person who contravenes this by-law or any of its provisions is guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine of not more than $200.00.
