## MUNICIPALITY OF DOAKTOWN
## MUNICIPAL BY-LAW NO. 2017-03
## A BY-LAW DESIGNATING PORTIONS OF ROAD WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF DOAKTOWN AS ACCESSIBLE TO OFF-ROAD VEHICLES
Under the powers granted by the Off-Road Vehicle Act, S.N.B. 1985, c.-0-1.5 and its amendments, the Council of the Village of Doaktown duly assembled enacts as follows:
## Definitions:
1. "Off-road vehicle" means all vehicles included in the definition of "off-road vehicle" as defined in the aforementioned Off-Road Vehicle Act, with exception of amphibious vehicles.
## General Provisions:
2. No person shall drive an off-road vehicle on Storeytown Road, South Road, and Union Street other than at locations set out for this purpose.
3. Off-road vehicles may travel on Storeytown Road, South Road, and Union Street but only at the locations set out on the map attached to this By-Law as Schedule "A".
4. Off-road vehicles may travel on 5.2 km road on Storeytown Road, on 3.3 km on South Road, and 123 meters on Union Street but only at locations set out on the map attached to this By-Law as Schedule "A" described.
5. No person shall drive on Storeytown Road, South Road, and Union Street with an off-road vehicle at the locations set out for this propose at a speed exceeding 30 km/h.
6. The driver must stop the off-road vehicle prior to reaching the used portion of the road.
7. Off-road vehicles may use the Storeytown Road, South Road, and Union Street as long as they have a license of an ATV Club federated in New Brunswick or in another province member of a reciprocal agreement with New Brunswick, this license being in the form of a sticker which must be clearly and permanently displayed on the ATV or on the side-byside. A helmet must be worn and the driver must be able to immediately provide a registration document and an insurance document for the vehicle. A license plate with a valid sticker must be visible and all obligations imposed by the Motor Vehicle Act and applicable to the All-Terrain Vehicle Act must be met.
8. Anyone who violates this By-Law commits a punishable offence and is liable to a minimum fine of $100.00, in addition to any other fine in accordance with the Off-Road Vehicle Act, S.N.B. 1985, c.-O-1.5 and its amendments.
