POLICY NO. 23-04 Department: Administration POLICY ON RECOGNITION COUNCIL Effective Date: Last Reviewed Date: DEFINITIONS "Gift Card" a card or token that can be exchanged for a specified cash value of goods or services from a particular business, given as a gift. Alcohol and/or cannabis stores are excluded. "Partner" means married or common law partner. "Five Rivers" means the municipality of Five Rivers. "Immediate Family" means partner, father, mother, children, children of the partner, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandfather, and grandmother. "Members of Council" means any person that has been duly elected to serve on the Council of Five Rivers. SCALE OF REWARD FOR MEMBERS OF COUNCIL: Any members of council that do not reoffer for an additional term during the municipal elections, will receive a basket of local products with a value of $100.00, and be acknowledged during a meeting of Council. Any member of council who seek a new term of office, but are not re-elected, will receive a basket of local products with a value of $100.00, and be acknowledged during a meeting of Council.
