EOA 1AO 882-2855 ## VILLAGE OF RIVERSIDE-ALBERT BY-LAW NO. 17 A BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF RIVERSIDE-ALBERT RESPECTING PLOWING, PILING, OR PLACING SNOW AND ICE ON ANY STREET, SIDEWALK, OR WITHIN TWO (2) METRES OF ANY FIRE HYDRANT. The council of the Municipality of Riverside-Albert duly assembled hereby enacts as follows: - (1) In this by-law, "sidewalk" means that portion of a highway, street, or roadway between the curb lines or lateral lines of the highway, street, or roadway and the adjacent property lines set apart for the use of pedestrians and includes any part of a highway, street, or roadway set apart or marked as being for the exclusive use of pedestrians and includes footways and street crossings. - (2) In this by-law, "street" means any road in the 3. municipality. The purpose of this by-law is to prohibit any person from plowing, piling, or placing snow and ice on any street, sidewalk, or within two (2) metres of any fire hydrant. Any person who plows, places, or piles snow on any street, sidewalk, or publicway, or within two (2) metres of a fire nydrant within the municipality or at whose direction same is done, is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction by a fine, which fine shall not be less than $100.00 for each breach and not greater than $200.00 for each breach. <!-- image --> ## Village of Riverside-Albert P.O.
