GRAND-SAULT AU NOUVEAU-
BRUNSWICK PORTANT
RÉGLEMENTATION DE LA
CIRCULATION ROUTIÈRE.
LE CONSEIL DE VILLE DE
GRAND-SAULT, DÛMENT
RÉUNI ADOPTE CE QUI SUIT:
l. Cet arrêté sera connu sous le titre
de Arrêté sur la Circulation routière
de Grand-Sault.
DÉFTNTTIONS
2. Les mots utilisés dans cet arrêté
ont la même signification que celle
qui leur est attribuée dans la
première partie de la Loi sur les
véhicules à moteur, R.S.N.B.,
chapitre M-17 ainsi que les
modifications qui s'y rattachent.
VOIES OUVERTES À LA
CIRCULATION DES CAMIONS
3. Le conseil dûment réuni, pourra
adopter des résolutions empêchant
l'accès à certaines rues de la ville
aux camions dont la masse brute
enregistrée est de 7500 kg ou plus
et ceci en vue de protéger le public
et/ou les routes en mauvais état.
CHEMINS OU VOIES À
SENS UNIQUE
4. Les routes figurant à l'annexe "A"
de cet arrêté sont désignées à sens
unique et tous les véhicules
empruntant ces routes auront a
circuler dans le sens indiqué à
l'annexe "A".
5. Le virage à gauche est interdit aux
endroits spécifiés à l'annexe "B" de
cet arrête.
STATIONNEMENT DE VÉHICULES

6. A moins d'indication contraire, le
stationnement sera permis sur le
côté droit d'une voie à sens
unique, pourvu que le véhicule soit

IN THE TOWN 0F GRAND FALLS,
N.B.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE
TOWN COUNCIL 0F THE
TOWN 0F GRAND FALLS AS
FOLLOWS:
This By-Law may be cited as the
"Grand Falls Traffic By-law".
FNTERPRETATION
"Words used in this By-law which
are defined in Section l of the
Motor Vehicle Act, R.S.N.B.,
Chapter M-17 and amendments,
shall have the same meaning as
therein defined.
TRUCK ROUTES
Whenever it deems necessary, for
the protection of the public or due
to road conditions, Town Council
may, by résolution, restrict spécifie
streets to all vehicles exceeding a
stated gross vehicle weight of 7,500
kg or more.
ONE-WAY HIGHWAYS
The highways set out in Schedule
"B" to this By-law are designated as
One-way highways and all vehicles
thereon shall move in the direction
specified in the said schedule.
Left hand turns are prohibited at
the locations set out in Schedule
"B" to this By-law.
STOPPING, STANDING AND
PARKING
Except where parking is
prohibited, vehicles may be parked
on the right side of a One-way
highway, provided that any vehicle
so parked shall be parked head in

signalisation ou une marque
sur la chaussée à cet effet;
2) dans les zones débarcadères
désignées pour laisser
monter ou descendre les
écoliers ou voyageurs
d'autobus, à moins de cas
d'urgence ou suivant les
directives d'un agent de la
paix;
3) sur aucune rue alors que
l'on procède au travail de
déneigement.
9. Il est interdit d'arrêter, 9.

véhicule pour une période
dépassant deux (2) heures, qu'il soit
sous surveillance ou non, du lundi
au vendredi inclusivement entre 8
heures et 18 heures, sur les routes

reasonable and necessary for
the loading and unloading
of its contents.
No person shall stop, stand or
park a vehicle:
l) at any place where signs or
markings prohibit parking;
2) at any street or portion
thereof set aside for the
exclusive parking of buses
for the purpose of allo-wmg
passengers to enter or alight
therefrom, except in case of
emergency or under the
direction of a Peace Offîcer;
3) on any street or portion
thereof -whlle the work of
clearmg snow or ice
therefrom is in progress.
No person shall stop, stand or
park a vehicle for a longer period
that two (2) hours, whether
attended or unattended, on any of
the high-ways or parts of hjghwavs.

premier jour de
décembre jusqu'à et
incluant le 31 mars
de l'année suivante.
Toute personne qui conduit
un véhicule non-muni de
pneus d'hiver sur une rue
recouverte de neige ou de
glace dans la ville de Grand-
Sault, sera considérée
comme causant une entrave
à la circulation.
Lorsqu'on arrive sur un
véhicule qui entrave la
circulation selon les
dispositions de cet article,
un agent de la paix pourra:

11. Notwithstanding anything to the
contrary contained herein, no
person shall park a motor vehicle
on any street -within the To-wn of
Grand Falls between the first day
of November of any year and the
fifteenth day of April of the
succeeding year, between the hours
of two o'clock and seven o'clock
in the forenoon on any day for the
purpose of snow ï-emoval.
12. l) In this Section:
(a) "Winter traction
tires means:
(i) tires with tread
designed specifîcally
ta provide more
effective traction on
streets during snow
and ice conditions;
(b) "Winter period"
means the period
between the fîrst day
of December, in any
year, up to and
including the thirty-
first day of March in
the following year.
2) Any person who drives a
motor vehicle on any street
in the Town of Grand
Falls, while snow or ice is
on the surface thereof,
during a winter period
-without Winter traction
tires and in such a manner
as to interfere with the
passage of other vehicles or
persons thereon shall be
deemed to be impeding
trafific.
3) When any Peace Officer
finds a motor vehicle
impeding traffic in violation
of the provisions of this
Section, such Officer:

14. La circulation des véhicules à
moteur ainsi que des piétons sur
les mes de la ville de Grand-Sault
sera soumise au contrôle et la
supervision du chef de police et il
sera tenu de faire respecter les
dispositions de cet arrêté ou tout
autres arrêtés ayant rapport à la
circulation.
15. l) II est interdit de conduire
une bicyclette ou une moto
dans un parc, un terrain de
jeu public, sur un boulevard
ou a travers ceux-ci.
2) II est interdit de conduire
une bicyclette ou une moto
sur un trottoir ou a travers
une bordure ou un trottoir
lorsque aucune entrée n'est
prévue.

13. l) It shall be lawful for any
member of the Grand Falls
Police Force to move or
cause to be moved any
vehicle found stopped or
parked in violation of
provisions of this By-law, in
any street in the Town of
Grand Falls.
2) A vehicle so moved under
this By-la-w shall be stored
in such places as the Chief
of Police may direct, and
the registered owner of such
vehicle at the time shall be
liable for costs and charges
for the storage and moving
thereof. The Town of
Grand Falls will not be
responsible for damage to
the moved vehicles.
14. The régulation of vehicular and
pedestrian traffîc and the control
of parking in the Town of Grand
Falls shall be under the supervision
of the Chief of Police whose duty
it shall be to enforce the provisions
of this and other By-la-ws relating
thereto.
15. l) No person shall drive a
motorcycle or bicycle in,
across or upon any public
square, public park, publie
playground or boulevard.
2) No person shall drive a
motorcycle or bicycle upon
any sidewalk or over or
across any curb or sidewalk
where any entrance has not
been provided.

En vertu de la Loi sur les municipalités, le
conseil municipal de Grand-Sault, dûment
réuni adopte ce qui suit:

A by-law to regulate traffic in the
town of Grand Falls, NB
Pursuant to the Municipalities Act of New
Brunswick, the Council ofthe town of
Grand Falls, duly assembled, hereby enacts
as follows:
Que l'arrêté no. 82 connu sous le titre Arrêté
sur la circulation routière de Grand-Sault
et adoptée le 11 avril 1995 soit modifié tel
que suit:
Que le paragraphe 3, intitulé Voies ouvertes
à la circulation des camions soit abrogé et
remplacé par la section suivante:
"Annuellement, en cas d'urgence et pour la
protection du public et / ou des mes, entre le
1er mars et le 1er juin, le directeur des
Travaux publics pourra interdire
temporairement la circulation des camions
sur toutes ou une partie des mes
municipales, à moins d'indication contraire
du conseil municipal."
Il est par conséquent édicté tel qu'adopté par
le conseil municipal de Grand-Sault au
Nouveau-Brunswick.
That By-law 82 cited as the Grand Falls
Traffic Bv-law be amended as follows:
That Section 3, entitled Truck routes, be
repealed and replaced by the following:
"The director of Publie Works may order the
temporary closing ofall or parts of
municipal streets to t-ucks, annually between
March l and Jime Ist, in case ofemergency
and for the protection ofthe public or due to
road conditions, unless otherwise indicated
by Council."
Therefore, be it enacted as adopted by the
Council ofthe municipality of Grand Falls
in New Brunswick.

A by-Iaw to regulate traffîc in the
Town of Grand Falls, NB
En vertu du pouvoir que lui confèrent la Loi
sur les municipalités, L.R. N.-B. 1973,chap.
M-22 et la Loi sur les véhicules à moteur,
L.R. N.-B. 1973, chap. M-17 le conseil
municipal de Grand-Sault, dûment réuni
adopte ce qui suit:
Que l'arrêté no. 82, connu sous le titre Arrêté
sur la circulation routière de Grand-Sault
et adopté le 11 avril 1995 soit modifié tel que
suit:
Be it enacted by the Council of the Town of
Grand Falls under the authority vested in it
by the Municipalities Act, R.S.N.B. 1973,e.
M-22 and the Motor Vehicle Act, R.S.N.B.
1873,c.M-17,asfollows:
That By-law 82 cited as the Grand Falls
Traffic By-law be amended as follows:
l) Qu'il soit ajouté al'annexe B-Virageà
gauche interdit- ce qui suit: « La me Laforest
pour prendre le boulevard Broadway. »
2) Que le paragraphe 17. Peines soit abrogé
et remplacé par ce qui suit :
«17. Est coupable d'une infraction et
passible, pour chaque infraction, d'une
amende selon le paragraphe 113 (6) de la Loi
sur les véhicules à moteur du
Nouveau-Brunswick, quiconque enfreint les
dispositions du présent arrêté »
Il est par conséquent édicté tel qu'adopté par
le conseil municipal de Grand-Sault au
Nouveau-Brunswick.
l) That the following be added to Schedule B
- Left hand turns prohibited: "Laforest Street
to Broadway Boulevard."
2) That Section 17. Penalties be repealed
and replacée as follows:
"17. Any person who violâtes any of the
provisions of this By-law is guilty of an
offence and liable to a penalty in accordance
with Section 113 (6) of the Motor Vehicle
Act of New Bmnswick."
Therefore, be it enacted as adopted by the
Council of the municipality of Grand Falls in
New Bmnswick.
