Policy for Compensation to Public Committee Members
Policy Objective:
For Harvey Rural Community Council to provide travel compensation to its public committee
members when attending meetings.
Policy Purpose:
To formally provide travel compensation for the public committee members of Harvey Rural
Community.
Policy Statement:
The following will be provided to its public committee members:
a) Reimbursement for mileage when travelling to and from committee meetings using the
mileage rate from Appendix A of the Government of New Brunswick Travel Expenses
Policy.
Procedure:
a) A sign-in sheet will be provided at each meeting where the member should indicate
their distance travelled to and from the meeting.
b) Reimbursement will be made in the form of a cheque or direct deposit on a quarterly
basis.
