The bilingual commercial signage grant program is funded by the Association francophone des municipalités du N.-B. (AFMNB). The Town offers financial incentives to encourage business owners to display their signs in both official languages. Council would like to thank all businesses that already have bilingual signs. This is a mark of respect for both official languages and also offers residents and visitors a unique and authentic destination where our linguistic identity is showcased! For an existing English sign or a new bilingual sign, the offer is 80% of the cost to make the sign bilingual, up to a maximum of $4,000. This offer applies to both indoor and outdoor signage. Businesses in the Town of Heron Bay that are open to the public (e.g., restaurants, beauty salons, stores, offices, etc.) are eligible. The business name cannot be changed in both languages. The descriptive text of the products or services is therefore required for the sign to be bilingual. We will be happy to help you translate the information on your sign. We offer free open/close signs: Open / Ouvert and Closed / Fermé We also offer a custom static cling sign for your business window. Steps to follow: - 1- Complete the order form. - 2- The business must send a mock-up of the bilingual sign to the Town before printing. - 3- The Town approves the mock-up, and the business has the sign made, paid for in full, and installed. - 4-The company sends proof of sign installation (photo) and the final invoice to the Town. - 5-The Town will reimburse you within 30 days of receiving the invoice.
