BY-LAW NO.47
OPERATION OF THE WATER UTILITY
Pursuant to the authority granted by the Municipalities Act, R.S.N.B., 1973, Chapter M-22, and
amendments thereto, especially Section 7 (1) thereof, to provide a system of water works for the Village
of McAdam, the following By-Law is enacted:
1.
No person shall at any time connect into the Village Water System, in any way, without
permission of the Village.
2.
"Consumer" is deemed to be the assessed wonder for property tax purposes.
3.
Applications for connection to the Village Water System must be in writing and addressed to the
Village of McAdam.
4.
(a)
The Village is not obliged to permit connection to the Village Water System where the
distance from the nearest existing water line to the consumer's property line exceeds
twenty meters.
(b)
The consumer shall pay the Village fifty (50%) percent of the actual cost to the Village of
the consumer's water connection.

The Village council reserves the right to deny or discontinue
