# By-Law Number L.G.-23 A By-Law respecting Outdoor Fires within The City of Saint John Public Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of The City of Saint John intends to consider giving third reading to the bylaw entitled, "By-Law Number L.G.-23 A By-Law respecting Outdoor Fires within The City of Saint John" at its meeting of February 10, 2025. The City of Saint John has outdoor fire safety guidelines but no by-law which regulates outdoor fires or adherence to the provincial forest fire watch "no burn" periods. The intent of the proposed outdoor fire by-law is to regulate the use of outdoor fireplaces on public or private property, only permitting fires on days or times where such fires are permitted in accordance with the province's forest fire watch. In accordance with the Local Governance Act, the bylaw will be read in summary only, if no member of Council objects. Office of the City Clerk 506-658-4455
