Like all municipalities in New Brunswick, Saint-Quentin is governed by the New Brunswick Local Governance Act, Chapter 18, in force since January 1, 2018. All by-laws have been revised or are in the process of being revised in accordance with this law.
Citizens who wish to consult these municipal by-laws, minutes, financial statements or balance sheets may do so by going to Town Hall located at 10 Deschênes Street, during working hours, Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Asset Management Plan
Saint-Quentin, a pioneering and model municipality in the province!
The adventure began in 2015 with the hiring of a consultant to develop the asset management plan for municipal infrastructure. At the same time, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) began a colossal effort to help municipalities develop an AMP and the allocation of funds needed to implement it.
This will be followed by requests for funds, presentations, an incalculable number of meetings and communication exchanges, with a view to carrying out each of the stages in order to properly establish the PGA in the municipality.
The General Management, a pillar of this important and necessary program for our municipality, was invited by the FCM to represent the City of Saint-Quentin at the Asset Management Forum last April in Ottawa to share its experience. This event brought together leaders representing many municipalities across Canada. This experience was most enriching and it was able to share its knowledge with provincial and national municipalities that are at the very beginning of their journey in developing their AMP.
The PGA is a tool that identifies infrastructure investment priorities. It includes, in particular, a complete inventory of assets, their risk level, replacement priorities and costs, while taking into account the impact of climate change on municipal infrastructure. In addition, the PGA allows municipal authorities to better target their long-term interventions, maximize their investments and thus strengthen their sustainable development objectives.
The City of Saint-Quentin is proud of all the work accomplished by its municipal team to ensure good management of municipal infrastructure and to make informed investment decisions.
