Tantramar Occupational Health and Safety Policy No. 2024-09 March 2024 POLICY PURPOSE Tantramar is committed to a strong safety program that protects its employees, its property, and the public from incidents. In fulfilling this commitment, we will provide our employees with the necessary skills and equipment to maintain a safe work environment and we will strive to eliminate hazards, which may result in injury and property damage. We are committed to working jointly with our employees and our Joint Health and Safety Committee to achieve these goals. RESPONSIBILITIES Management supports participation in the program by all employees and provides proper equipment, training, and procedures. Employees are responsible for following all procedures, working safely, and, wherever possible, improving safety measures. Management will take all necessary action to eliminate or control hazardous working conditions. Employees at every level, including management, are responsible and accountable for Tantramar's overall safety initiatives. Complete and active participation by everyone, every day in all occupations is necessary for the safety of all employees on the job site. Every employee is required to point out sources of danger and suggest means to remedy them to their immediate supervisor. Tantramar and its employees share joint responsibility for their own personal safety and that of their co-workers. They play a key role in ensuring the completion of all assigned duties in a safe manner and are expected to use the safest work methods to carry out their jobs.
