## Village of Valley Waters By-Law No. 24-10-01
A By-Law relating to the clearance and removal of snow and ice from the public roads, streets and sidewalks in the Village of Valley Waters.
This By-Law hereby repeals the former Village of Norton By-Law No. 2003-05-00.
Be it enacted by the Council of Valley Waters, under the authority vested in it by the Local Governance Act, S.N.B. 2017, c. 18 as follows:
1. Whenever any roof, eave of portion of roof or eave, or any window-sill is laden with ice or snow either in the form of icicles of otherwise, in such a manner as to endanger persons of property passing on any public road, lane, street or sidewalk, it shall be the duty of the owner or the agent of the owner, or any person having the care of such building or lot to remove such ice or snow. A penalty may be established by Council and enforced by the RCMP.
2. No person shall throw, put or lay upon any public road, lane, street, sidewalk, road ditch or drainage ditch or waterway, any snow or ice brought from any privately owned yard, enclosure, place of parking lot. A penalty may be established by Council and enforced by the

From the first day of November in any year until the 30" day of April in every succeeding year, no vehicles shall be parked on any public road, street, lane, or sidewalk, which may impede or hinder any snow plowing or snow removal operation, and any vehicle so parked shall be deemed a public nuisance. Such vehicles may be removed on the authority of Council or Dept. Transportation and Infrastructure, as applicable, at the owners' expense.
Effective Date: This by-law shall come into full force and take effect and be binding as of March 5th, 2024.
