## APPLICATION This Noise/ Nuisance By Law shall apply within the boundaries of the Town of Cupids, as per the Towns and Local Service District Act, (TLSDA) Section (8.1F) Pursuant to the authority conferred in Section 8 of the Towns and Local Service Districts Act, 2025, The Town Council of Cupids has adopted the following regulations on May 6, 2025. No person shall make, continue to cause or allow to be made or continued any loud, unnecessary, or unusual noise or any noise( including loud music) whatsoever, which either annoys, disturbs, injures, endangers or detracts from the comfort ,repose, health, peace or safety of other persons within the limits of the Town and between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7 a.m. except in accordance with this By Law. - (A) No persons shall use within the town, a lawnmower, chainsaw, snow blower or other machinery equipment which may disturb the peace and quiet of a neighborhood between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following morning, except for periods where it is following a snow storm or, as otherwise directed by the Town. - (B) No person shall create or allow a noise within the Town through the use of a motor vehicle that has no muffler, a modified muffler or exhaust system or an otherwise defective muffler except as may be necessary to move such a motor vehicle to a location to be repaired. - (c) No persons shall create or allow noise in the Town of Cupids through the squealing of tires of a motor vehicle which is caused by unnecessary braking, turning or setting in motion such a vehicle. - (D) No persons shall create noise within the Town of Cupids through the use of Motor Vehicle horns except as may be reasonably necessary in the opinion of Council for the safety and warning of traffic or pedestrian, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7 a.m. - (E) No person shall create or allow any noise from a construction vehicle, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following morning. Including repairing, altering or demolishing of a building, wall or any other structure, or by the removal of or transportation of: rock, gravel, sand or other materials between the hours of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day. - F) Fireworks shall not be detonated during fire ban. ## PENALTIES - Districts Act. 1. Penalties may be applied in accordance with Division 6 of the Towns and Local Service 2. This By- Law shall not exclude the application of other penalties not expressly listed. ## TOWN OF CUPIDS NOISE / NUISANCE BY LAW ## REPEAL OF PREVIOUS BY-LAWS AND AMENDMENTS 1. None REVIEW This By -Law shall be reviewed every two years or sooner by the Town Council, as necessary. ## CAME INTO EFFECT these regulations shall come into effect MAy 6 , 2025, through a resolution of Council. #4a Mayor Town Clerk
