## APPLICATION
These Regulations shall be cited as the Town of Cupids Unsightly Property By Law, in accordance with the Towns and Local Service District Act, (TLSDA) Section (8F).
Pursuant to the authority conferred in Section 8 of the Towns and Local Service Districts Act, 2025, The Town Council of Cupids has adopted the following regulations on June 3 , 2025.
1. No person shall repair, dismantle or scrap a vehicle on residential property.
2. Likewise, no business shall keep their business property in disorder or kept in such a way as to disrupt sight lines, flow of traffic (Highway Traffic Act) and the general aesthetic of the area, and possibly attract rodents
3. Repair shall not apply to repairs of a minor nature such as repairing flat tires, boosting batteries, changing filters or replacing spark plugs, to a vehicle which is owned by an occupant of the residential property on which the repairs are being affected.
4. No person shall deposit, discard or keep a wrecked, discarded, dismantled, inoperative, unused, or abandoned vehicle, camping trailer or tow trailer or other machinery or any parts thereof on a residential property that would result in an eye sore to the Town and possibly attract rodents.
5. The provisions of this Section (8F) shall also apply to vacant lots and to the premises of businesses located within a residential zone in the Town of Cupids and the owner of such vacant lots or premises shall maintain the same in accordance with this section.
6. No person shall keep refuse/ garbage (ie: household waste, old/unusable material, furniture) dilapidated buildings on their property in which makes it unsightly or potentially dangerous to the environment or general public.
7. Properties which do not comply with this By Law, may have vehicles removed from the premises at the request of the Town of Cupids, and at the owners expense.
8. No person shall dump waste, leaves, grass, trees, or other debris/garbage around the town, or in the town waters/ocean. Garbage must be disposed of properly, and by the approved contractor, or hauled away to the ERSB Waste Sites by the home owner/ occupant.

## PENALTIES
1. Penalties may be applied in accordance with Division 6, Section 290, of the i owns and Local Service District Act. Anyone who does not comply with the above By Law may receive fines, and shall be given 60 days to complete clean up of property.
2. This By-Law shall not exclude the application of other penalties not expressly listed.
