Now under section 23 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act 2000, the Town Council of Englee approves the Englee Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2006. Mayor: ~- Clerk: l'"°6l.)i.A1 f<Qb cle.,u Doris Randell CANADIAN INSTITUTE OF PLANNERS CERTIFICATION TOWN OF ENGLEE MUNICIPAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO.1, 2006 BACKGROUND The purpose of this amendment is to allow a fish plant between Leather Shoe Pond Cove Pond and Highway 433. In order to do so, an area designated Residential and Mixed Development must be redesignated Industrial. This area is presently occupied by a number of dwellings and sheds and other uses. A garage is located in the adjacent commercial designation. Since the plant's final location in this area is not known, the Town has decided to redesignate a larger area than actually needed. Once the plant is situated, then the matter of the planning policies for the balance of the area will be dealt with during a subsequent plan review. PUBLIC CONSULTATION A public briefing session scheduled for June 13th 2006 was advertised in the June 5th and 12tti 2006 editions of the Northern Pen. Since no one expressed any interest in attending the briefing session, this session was cancelled.
