The following regulations have the been made by the Town Council of Town of Gambo under the provisions of Section 254 of the Municipalities Act, 1979, as amended.
## NUISANCE REGULATIONS
1. These regulations may be cited as the Town of Gambo Nuisance Regulations.
2. (a) "Act" means the Municipalities Act, 1979, as amended;
3. (b) "Council" means the Town Council of the Town of Gambo;
4. (c) "Highway" means the entire width between the boundary lines of a highway, road, street, avenue, thoroughfare, right of way, parkway, driveway, lane, alley, square, place, bridge, culvert, viaduct, trestle, or wharf whether or the public;
5. (d) "Litter" means any refuse of plastic, metal, glass, stone, concrete, wood, cloth, earth, sod, gravel, abandoned/dilapidated vehicles, cars, trucks, campers, trailers, all terrain vehicles, and includes construction and building materials;
6. (e) "Nuisance" means anything or any condition of things which is or may become injurious or dangerous presents an obstruction to pedestrians or vehicular traffic or anything or any condition of things that, in to condition t the opinion of Council, has an unpleasant effect on the senses Or adversely affects the amenities of the surrounding properties;
7. (f) "Owner" includes agent, tenant or occupier;
8. (g) "Sidewalk" means any area used or intended for the use of pedestrians; and

- (h) "Town" Council dated the 1st day of July, A.D. 1962 and continued as a Town under the said Act.
3. No person, firm or corporation shall deposit, throw, sweep, shovel or · highway whatsoever. sidewalk within the

5. person shall create a noise within the boundaries of the Town through the use of firearns, fireworks or other similar noise-making devices, except as may be approved by Council and subject to approval of law enforcement or other regulatory agencies.
6. No person shall use, within the Town, a lawnnower, chainsaw or other machinery or equipment which may disturb the and quiet of a neighbourhood between the hours of 10:00 p.m. of any one day and 7:00 a.m. of the following day, except as nay otherwise be approved by Council.
7. No person, firm or corporation shall permit or maintain a nuisance by creating loud noises or raucous behaviour in the opinion of Council, may have an unpleasant or disagreeable effect upon the senses.
8. No person shall permit or maintain a nuisance by allowing any dog that is prone to constant or incessant barking or howling to remain outside his or her residence between the p.n. of any one day to 7:00 a.m. of the following day, when such barking or howling may disturb the and quiet of a neighbourhood.
9. Nothing in these regulations shall be deemed to prohibit:
- (a) the sounding of any bell, horn, siren or other warning device of any vehicle where the law required, or when responding to any energency;
- (b) the ring of church bells or chimes;
- ( c) the sounding of motor vehicle horns in a wedding procession or in parades permitted by Council.
10. No person shall cut, destroy or renove any standing tree or standing timber fron any public property within the boundaries of the Town whatsoever, Subject to the approval of Council and with the consent of other regulatory agencies, a permit may be obtained to salvage fallen trees and timber for use as donestic firewood, subject to the following conditions:
- (a) no standing timber shall be cut or removed;
- tops and branches shall be removed from the site or may be burned, provided the necessary burning permit has been obtained.
11. Every person who fails to comply with or otherwise contravenes any of the provisions of these regulations is guilty of an offense and is liable on summary conviction to penalty as set out in the said Act.
12. All previous Nuisance Regulations for the Town of Gambo are hereby repealed.
13. These regulations shall come into effect on the 5th day of July. 1995, A. D.
