Pursuant to the authority confirmed by Chapter M-24, Municipalities Act, Chapter M-24, S.N., 1999 and amendments, the Town of New-WesValley has made the following regulations by resolution of Council dated this 15th . Day of June, 2021.

15. The town will consider providing snow clearing for driveways or business opcrations only where there is NO commercially availabl quipment for hire and in accordance with the Act at a rate set by Council
16. All named streets in the Town will be snow cleared. Streets that have been snow cleared in the past ten years that are not named streets will continue to be donc until ownership changes.
17. These regulations are to be reviewed by Council on an annual basis.
## SNOW CLEARING REGULATIONS
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Town of New-Wes-Valley Snow Clearing Regulations.
2. Interpretation in these Regulations, unless the context otherwisc requires:
- a. "ACT" means the Municipalities Act. Chapter M-24.
- b. "COUNCIL" means the Town of New-Wes-Valley.
- c. "TOWN" means the Town of New-Wes-Vallcy.
- d. "TOWN ROAD" means any road, furn around, lanc, cul de sac etc. which the Town of New-Wes-Valley has identificd as it': esponsibility and as measured by the Department of Works, Scrvices, and Transportation as sccondary roads within th municipalities boundaries.
- c. "VEHICLE" means any form of vehicle for the provision of transportation of peoplc, goods or services over a public road.
- f. "OBSTRUCTION" means anything placed on a town road or road rescrvation that may interfere with snow clearing opcrations. This would include snow mobiles and ATV's.
- g. "SNOW CLEARING" will include the removal of snow as well as Sal/Sanding operations.
3. The Town of New-Wes-Vallcy shall clear snow, subject to the availability of financial resources, workers and equipment from all town roads within it's jurisdiction.
4. In the first trip around town, the main priority is to open all main roads as quickly and efficiently as possible to permit access b emergency Fire and Ambulance Equipment and hence no clean up work will be done on this trip
12. If a second or third trip is required, depending on conditions, a "Clean-up" will be started. During this trip employee's will be doing what is required to widen town roads and to avoid blocking driveways arcady cleared.

7. No person shall place snow on town roads in a manner as to impede the flow of traffic before snow has been elcared and in no manner after the snow has been cleared.

9. All vehicles shall be parked a minimum of Three (3) meter from the edge of a town road.
10. The Town will not be responsible for any damage causcd within the Strect Rescrvation Three (3) meters from the cage of a town road. Fences, lawns and other fixtures must be clearly marked for the town to consider any liability for damages. The marking and maintenance of the markers are the responsibility of the owner. Any fencc, lawn, driveway, tree or garbage boxes that docs not meet threc (3) meters will not be funded through the tax dollars of residents of the said Town.
11. All claims for damage must be made in writing to the Town no later than June 1", of the same year, of the snow clearing period (Verbal claims will not be responded to.) Claims received after this date, will not be considered.
12. When making a Claim the following information should be included to cable the processing of your Claim. If sufficient information is not provided this could result in your Claim not being honored:

22. If possible, a picture of the property before the damage was donc
23. Type of damage (Pictures must be provided)
24. These Regulations were adopted by Council at a meeting held on the 15\_ Day of June, 2021 and come into effect on the \_15" \_ Day of June: 2021.
19. All previously adopted snow clearing regulations for the Town of New-Wes-Valley this 15" Day of June, 2021 are hereby rescinded.
