URBAN AND RURAL PLANNING ACT RESOLUTION TO ADOPT TOWN OF PILLEY'S ISLAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATION AMENDMENT NO. 1, 2001 Under the authority of Section 16 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act 2000, the Town Council of Pilley's Island adopts the Town of Pilley's Island Development Regulations Amendment No. I, 2001. Development Regulations/Amendmcrt J REGISTERE~ l i ... mber Date Signature ' BACKGROUND: TOWN OF PILLEY'S ISLAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AMENDMENT NO. 1, 2001 The Town Council is implementing an amendment to the Towns Development Regulations because under the present Development Regulations Section 'C', Rural & Resource, condition 13 is to restrictive for Council to maintain. PUBLIC CONSULTATION: This is a "stand alone" amendment to the Town of Pilley's Island Development Regulations. The public consultation process included posting notices in the post office, two grocery stores and the town office asking for public input. Notices were posted March 5, 2001 to March 19, 2001. We received no objection to the proposed Development Regulations amendment. DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS AMENDMENT NO. 1, 2001: Community ofPilley's Island Development Regulations 1993-2003, Schedule 'C', Use Zone Table, Rural & Resource (RR), Section 13 states: Seasonal Residential A seasonal residential development may be permitted provided it is located no closer than 2 km of an urban zone. Standards and conditions are the same as those for the "Summer Cottage" zone. Schedule 'C', Section 13 will be replaced with the following: Seasonal Residential A seasonal residential development may be permitted. Standards and conditions are the same as those for the "Summer Cottage" zone.
